Youth Community Poetry Contest

This poetry contest is open to students in middle and high school, this contest calls for original poems of 20 lines or less. Poems will be judged on creativity, originality and poetic expression.  Show your community your brilliance, your expressive emotion and the power of words by submitting your poetry on why teens should say no to underage drinking, marijuana or vaping.
What are you waiting for? Pick up that pen. Grab a tablet, a laptop or even your phone and get to writing.  Your community needs your talent and the world needs your voice.  We will reward the top 3 poems with a $50 gift card. The winners poems will be published on our website and our social media accounts. Please submit your entries by July 31st to drugfree@rockdalecoalition.org. Winners will be announced on August 7, 2020.

The Rockdale Coalition for Children & Families was established in August 1996 by a resolution from the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners Coalition and has become a well established and respected Rockdale entity, funneling millions of dollars for the benefit of families & children in  our community.
