CONYERS, Ga. — The Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families is entering a new chapter with the appointment of Kysa Anderson Daniels as its Executive Director, effective March 30, 2026. A seasoned communications professional and dedicated community advocate, Daniels will succeed Michael Hutcheson, who is transitioning to full-time ministry after nearly 17 years of transformative leadership at the Coalition.
Since 1995, the Rockdale Coalition has been a cornerstone of the county, uniting community partners to improve the well-being of local families and expand healthcare access for the underserved. Daniels brings a wealth of local expertise and a passion for service that aligns with this mission.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kysa as our new Executive Director,” said Susan Paul Smith, chair of the Coalition’s executive board. “Her deep roots in Rockdale County and her extensive background in community relations make her the ideal leader to build upon the incredible foundation Michael has established.”
Daniels joins the Coalition following a successful career in marketing and public relations at Georgia State University’s Perimeter College. She also is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Rockdale and previously served as director of the Rockdale County Public Schools Foundation.
“I am honored to lead an organization that is so vital to the heart of our community,” Daniels said. “It doesn’t get any better than being able to represent the Coalition and work alongside community partners to ensure that every child and family in Rockdale has the support and resources needed to thrive.”
The transition marks a milestone for the organization as it celebrates the legacy of Michael Hutcheson. During his tenure, Hutcheson was instrumental in helping to secure and manage a 10-year federally funded Drug Free Communities grant. While he is departing to serve as the full-time pastor at Conyers First Methodist Church, Smith says that the Coalition remains grateful for his years of compassionate leadership and tireless dedication to progress.
